Time to Celebrate You!

We're back for another week-long online celebration of all of WTA's volunteers!

Volunteers, thank you for another amazing year. Volunteer Appreciation Week is back in 2021!

We hope you'll join us November 13 - 19 for small in-person gatherings and online celebrations for everyone who has volunteered with us — trail maintenance crew members, hiking guide correspondents, trip reporters, ambassadors, magazine writers and editors, tech developers, advocates and more.

If you write for the hiking guide or help keep our app running smoothly, you continue to help thousands of people find hikes. Trip reporters, you reached an amazing milestone this year — 200,000 trip reports filed since 1996If you write for the magazine or contribute photos, you helped us make four beautiful issues of Washington Trails that inspired and educated readers across Washington and beyond.

If you spoke up for trails, thank you! In addition to other advocacy accomplishments, you helped make our first-ever online Hiker Rally Day possible. Ambassadors, thank you for spreading the word about WTA's mission and helping us engage even more people in protecting trails.

And if you came out to one work party this year or 200, thank you for joining nearly 3,000 other volunteers and contributing over 120,000 hours of trail maintenance across the state.

If you've ever donated time to Washington Trails Association, these parties are for you.
