My brother Rick and I hiked the Cascades when kids in the 50's. We hiked together again after I passed my 70th birthday and chose the 70 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail between Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass in Washington State. We had beautiful weather and stunning views the first few days and saw lots of thru hikers trying to make Canada by October. Of course, we had storm and rain the last days of the hike. But, here's a view of Mt. Rainier on our second day on the trail.
