A lengthy but rewarding trek out to Central Washington afforded a magnificent day hike along the upper rim and base of the canyon circling Palouse Falls. Tucked away among rolling hills and grassy plains, this powerful fall rips over the edge with undeniable force and yet still retains a sense of calm in the picturesque landscape it dwells in.
