I took a quick walk at Snow Mtn Ranch on this mostly sunny, warm afternoon.  I walked the Cowiche Mtn Trail West across the field to the mouth of the ravine, up & down the Riparian Overlook Trail, then across the Riparian Connector Trail to the Ditch Bank Trail & back to my truck.  There were quite a few nice wildflowers.  The highlight, however, was a mother great horned owl & 3 young in a nest at the top of a snag where the Connector Trail crosses the old irrigation canal.  I only saw a couple of other hikers out this afternoon.

It's a special day when you get to see owls like this. What a treat. So glad you saw them.

Thank you for posting about the owls! We had already planned to do that hike this weekend and we were able to find them. The mama was out but we saw the owlets. Adorable fuzzy headed little dudes!
