Trail snow-covered at times - gear and expertise recommended

The recent rain and snow made for harsh trail conditions and no views.

We were a group of 3 and did it in 11 hours RT. We left the TH at 7a and started hiking. The boulder field was snowy, slick, and brutal. Microspikes definitely advised. The final mile to the top was a slog. Summit was snowy and foggy. We were back at the TH by 6p.

Snow at the summit was waist-deep off trail. Boulder field was knee-deep off trail.

I saw a lot of people really struggling and having anxiety. A few had to be assisted by the MSHI guide. This is really a trail to research and prepare for carefully. If you have knee problems, the boulder field is going to be really tough. It's not just a hard hike, it's a climb right now so just be prepared.
